  1. these shoes were necessary for me to buy because I have recently become handicapped. I now use a wheelchair and wear a specially molded brace on my foot and leg called an ‘AFO’. These shoes are ideal for use with the AFO because they are easy to take the insole out and easy to fasten around my foot over the brace.

  2. I bought these shoes for my husband; he loves them, wears them to the gym every day

  3. I have been wearing this shoe and its previous version for a number of years as my main footwear. The shoe is comfortable and supportive both for exercise (tread mill) and routine walking and driving. I find the Velcro binding convenient to use. I always remove the stock inner liners and replace them with custom orthotic foot supports. On the advice of an exercise coach, I wear a pair about four months before replacement, as this is about the expected life of any exercise shoe, in terms of proper support and cushioning. I find that I can feel the difference in comfort and support as the four month time frame approaches. The only problem that I have noticed is the tendency for the sole plate to de-laminate in the heel region. This seems to happen on most of the pairs I’ve owned, and may be unique to my walking style or usage; it only happens to the right foot! This de-lamination does not seem to effect the performance of the shoe, just the cosmetics.

  4. These are very comfortable as soon as you get them. The problem is that after 6 months of wearing them they begin to fall apart. Yet, I keep coming back and buying them every 6 months because as long as they’re in good shape they’re some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. I just wish they were a better value.

  5. Extremely comfortable shoe. The only negative thing is the tongue is not attached on either side which makes it difficult. Good materials and easy to clean. Lightweight. I am a new balance fan.
