I’d buy a pair right now if I knew I could remove that ridiculous striped nylon fabric from the side. It absolutely ruins the look of the boot. I’ll wait until these are under $50 and give that a try.

These are nice and comfy boots. I own black pair. Other reviewers disliked the stripe. I think it is personal fashion preference- the real issue is boot overall quality and how comfy they are. Fit is excellent. Not too big, not too small. And I am very selective. Even with some ECCO shoes I feel that they are a little bit too big. These boots are perfect fit. I wouldn’t mind a little bit better material inside. Cloth inside is more suitable for autumn wear than a winter wear. Leather is not the best quality, but for the price you pay don’t expect top of the line. You can find 3 types of leather used for a shoe- front uses the best quality, lace area good and back portion is not bad. About made in China. Almost everything is made in China these days. I wouldn’t say that itself it is the biggest minus. My biggest complaint about these boots is sole material. It is made of marking rubber. While bottom of the sole doesn’t leave black steaks on the floor, a sole sides does.

I bought these and really liked the stripe and all.
When I got them I noticed the Made in China label.
I was a bit worried if they would be good quality.
They fit true to size and the black color was nice and uniform.
I tried them around the house one day to see if they were comfy.
After a few hours I put my shoe tree in and hoped the creases I notices on the top of the boot would be gone the next day.
Next day the top of the boot had the creases going across the top and it looked horrible.
I guess if you want that worn in look right away its great but the leather is smooth everywhere but that crease on top and did not look good.
Cheap quality leather is probably the reason.
Other shoes I put the shoe tree in and they look great by morning.
They are comfy and true to size thats the only compliment other than style.
They are going back.
The profit margin must have been killer on these.
Im sure Italian or Portugese manufacturing costs more but you get what you pay for.

I like the stripe. It makes the boots look less like a work (brown) or military boot (black). Being ex-military I don’t want a military jump boot look. You can also bet on Steve Madden shoes to be comfortable.
