I got these for my husband to replace a pair of Birkys, by Birkenstock, which couldn’t be repaired. I was disappointed to see that the suede leather straps were really, really flimsy. He is a constant sandal wearer, so these won’t be around long. Although, he didn’t have to put up with any rubbing from the straps which was a plus. The foot bed is standard Birkenstock and really comfortable for him. All in all, I don’t feel they were worth the money, unfortunately.

The workmanship is OK, the fit is good. The only thing I don’t like are tshe straps. I had a similar pair from Betula I bought about 5 years ago thst had leather straps. These straps would remain up, not colapse like the Newalk, and were easier to slip in. I probably won’t buy this brand again.

I have worn a pair of Newalks for two years and absolutely loved them. These showed up as Betulas instead of Newalks, but like them equally. Excellent service and speed of delivery and the price couldn’t be beat!
