  1. Teva is great but this one runs large. I had to order the next size smaller. I have asked customer assistance three times for a RMA number for the return of the size 11 and still have yet to receive one (three weeks). I will never use Altrec again. Jim Hayford

  2. I bought my shoes June when I was in the continental United States and brought it back with me here in the Philippines. After some trail hiking, I noticed the soles coming off on both shoes! I know that the company may exchange them but since I lived in the Philippines I don’t think its worth the shipping. They do look great but I go for quality more than aesthetics.

  4. Keens started these hybrid sandal/trainer shoes and I’ve stuck with them since. However, I just couldn’t pass up the price on these Teva’s. Now I am certainly glad I purchased these. The Teva’s are a functional improvement over Keen Arroyo’s. First impressions are that the Teva is lighter, sole is stiffer and less soft which IS what one needs for an all-terrain go anywhere shoe. The added buckle strap and heel adjustment cinches it for me, far improving the fit of the Teva over any Keen’s I have owned. I am glad a larger shoe company like Teva didn’t just play catch-up and has improved on an innovative design.

  5. I actually own plenty of water shoes and plenty of sandals yet I just couldn’t resist getting a couple pairs of Teva’s Omnium Sandal. I absolutely love the design. Some shoes you buy because of performance/specs and some shoes you buy because of looks and while I originally purchased these because of looks, it quickly became one of my favorites in regards to performance/specs. There are actually 2 different Omnium models, the original synthetic leather version and the authentic leather version. This is the synthetic leather version and I actually prefer the synthetic as it dries faster and is easier to maintain.

While this was definitely designed as more of a water based sandal, the overall design lends itself to pretty much any activity you can think of. In other words there is no reason to limit these to just water based activities. You can even wear them as basic sandals with jeans. That is one of the best aspects to this sandal, no matter what activity you wind up partaking in, you will be golden if your in a pair of Omnium’s.

The Omnium’s upper consists of a Quick-drying PU-coated synthetic leather while the sole is made of Teva’s own Spider Rubber®. Spider Rubber is Teva’s most versatile rubber compound which successfully blends high friction and good durability and that makes these sandals especially suited for amphibious hiking. They have a Quick-release buckle and quick lace system which allows very quick entry/exit. They also have an covered-toe design thus giving your toes added protection especially when hiking through water. Rounding out the features is an Encapsulated Shoc Pad in the heel that absorbs shock, and a Zinc based anti-microbial protection.

These are imo the best sandals Teva has ever made. Not only do they look great, they are also extremely comfortable and suitable to just about any activity you can think of including most water based activities. There are not many sandals out there that are capable of outperforming the Omnium. I liked mine so much I now have 3 pair, 2 of the original and 1 pair of the authentic leather. This is one line of shoes that I prey Teva continues to make year after year.
