  1. Heel piece came loose in less than a month. Teva does not answer their phone. Also wants customer to pay for shipping defective item back to them (with tracking). I could understand this if I would have had them a little longer. I used to be a big fan but no more Teva’s for me!!

  2. My husband has the midnight navy teva men open toachi sandal. He states it is the most comfortable sandal he has worn in a long time. We bought the shoes/sandals for a long haul trip in December 2009.

update-after 6 months these shoes broke, the lower and upper soles broke =(

We tried to super glue the soles back down but they kept coming up after we used them again. We mainly used them around the house and the neighborhood and 2x did use them hiking which I think was the cause of their demise. Again =(. I wish they would have lasted longer.

  3. I bought these sandals several weeks ago (REI) and have worn them a lot. I had another pair of cheaper Teva’s for several years, and these are much more comfortable, and have a better fit. The footbed is soft and comfy, but gives good support. The straps are lightly cushioned, which adds to comfort. I prefer these adjust-once, then use click-togethers to put sandals on, rather than messing with velcro straps, which, over time can become less reliable and not stay completely closed. However, the click-togethers can be a little snug to pull together once you’ve gotten the straps adjusted to the perfect fit.

I’ve hiked some in them, walked through a stream, and just worn them around town—the fit stays right and they’ve always felt good. I’m not sure about the “water-drains-through” technology—sounds like a good idea, but it’s hard to know exactly what these sandals would feel like wet, without it. The soles do seem to have good traction, and don’t get slippery when wet. If these last, they’ll be perfect for me.

  4. My 16 yr old was hired as a lifeguard at a local waterpark and needed water shoes. After buying another brand which left his feet blistered, these made a world of difference. Good support and he is able to wear them all day long. So while the guards walk around with their shoes unbuckled because their feet hurt so much, he doesn’t have to. Highly recommend these shoes.

  5. Phenomenal Sandals – These are not like any cheap sandals I use to wear. My feet feel much better than ever before… Will buy many more of these sandals, and won’t deal with $20 sandals anymore.

-UPDATE- Sandal’s tread is not holding up. Two locations of tread pealing off. It’s a shame, these were the most comfortable shoe/sandal, now it’s off to TEVA support to see if they can redeem the TEVA name for me.
