Overview

Brief Description



Lanao del Sur forms the western part of Northern Mindanao. To its north is Lanao del Norte, to the east is Bukidnon, to the west is Illana Bay, and to the south are Maguindanao and Cotabato. Rolling hills and valleys, a placid lake and river dominate the landscape.



Lanao del Sur is a province in the Philippines located in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). It borders Lanao del Norte to the north, Bukidnon to the east, and Maguindanao and Cotabato to the south. An arm of the Moro Gulf, Illana Bay, lies to the southwest.
