I have a pair of leather Chaco sandals from 2005 and they fit well and are attractive. When I needed a new pair of sandals for this summer I decided to try the ZX/1. Well, they are comfortable, but something about them is very unflattering. They make my small foot look big and fat! I think perhaps it is because the strap across the instep is black rather than the color of the other straps. It calls attention to the instep and makes it look wide. I sent them back.

This is my 3rd pair of these sandals. I’ve moved up to purple! Very comfortable and I’m able to take long walks without any pain to my feet. The arch support is really why I like these shoes. The sizing is such that if you wear a 7 1/2, you can still order the 7′s and they fit great! I’ve even washed mine in the washing machine and they come out brand new looking. Worth the money. They look great with jeans and casual skirts. You won’t be disapointed.

I bought My last pair of Chaco’s six years ago, and they are still going strong. I finally decided to add to the collection with another style, and I haven’t been disappointed. You can walk in these shoes all day and they will still feel comfortable. Great shoes!

I loved the arch support. But the straps rubbed because they had to hold up that heavy sole. They are hard and not very flexible, and I didn’t get the feeling they were going to mold to my feet like a Birkenstock. Also, they run really long. I ordered a half size down, but probably could have used the next size below that. Also, the textured sole was kind of rough on the bottom of my feet. I wanted to love them, but they went back.
