These Teva leather sandals are comfortable, nice looking, long lasting, and a good buy for the money. Actually, all Teva sports sandals are great!

I was so disappointed in this pair of sandals that I just shipped them back. Perhaps if I hadn’t known what this sandal USED to be like, I would have kept them. I own fivel other Teva sandals and two of them are this same sandal I just ordered. But Teva has changed this sandal! The sole is a lot stiffer and uncomfortable and the straps in the medium width (they don’t come in wide width) are shorter leaving much Velcro exposed when fastened. The sandal is not nearly as comfortable as my other Teva sandals. All my other Teva’s were VERY comfortable the first time I put them on. I was really disappointed in this new pair and have communicated with Teva and they told me they have made several changes in their product. I asked them to change them back because they’ve ruined their product. My old Tevas are several years old and I still wear them and the only reason I wanted a new pair is because my old pair have begun to look old even though they are not worn. I just wanted a newer pair to wear when I want to look dressed up. They are really still a very serviceable shoe even though I’ve worn one pair in salt water! (Yes, they are leather!) I wear Tevas every waking hour in weather warm enough for sandals.

After 5 or 6 yrs. of owning another color of the same style of comfortable and durable Teva sandals I decided I wanted to buy another pair. I went to an R.E.I. store to try on a pair in the color and size I wanted. I found out that even though my old pair had been a size 9 I had to try on a 9 1/2 to get the same fit. So with that information in mind, I went to the internet to find a better price. I got about $15 off of regular price plus free shipping/no tax. Great! Got the product, at first glance it looked exactly right, size 9 1/2 just as I had researched and planned for. Put the sandals on and they fit like the too short size 9 I had tried on at R.E.I. Phooey! While they’re still comfortable and well made, they’re a teensy bit short; my toes could use a scoosh more length, but I will make due. Paying return costs would forfeit the savings. It makes me wonder about Teva’s construction standards and quality control. It also makes me wonder if the Merchant I purchased from is getting 2nd quality goods to sell. Hard to say.
